SBC Mini Starter Not Working Correctly

Just got this new mini starter off ebay. The starter and flywheel are lined up just like the pics below. almost look exact

But when I Turn The key all i can hear is the starter turning, but its not meshing with the Flywheel at all. not even a nip. Isnt the little starter wheel suppose to pop out some and then mesh with the flywheel?

ok got it 2 work... nvmd i had to use a jumper wire from battery wire to switch wire.

My trucks starter is goin bad, didnt want to start in the morning...u got off ebay for cheap?

nvmd you guys. i just had it wired the wrong way.
