Nevermind, I see your first post now...honestly the RF would be a good choice, those power amps are bulletproof

:laugh:like the RF T3000bd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Sundown out of the ones you listed, id almost have to throw in the AT5k there comparible on prices //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You can look up RF birthsheets some places and their T-series amps are typically in the mid/high 70% range in efficiency, if I remember correctly. Not the greatest, again very power hungry, but it is almost 5kW. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
What about the Memphis 4kW or the Autotek 4000.1? Are those options for you? Not sure what the efficiency is on them, though. I think the efficiency rates for the Sundown and IA are pretty well documented on other forums, though.

Thought about dropping to .25 instead of 1?
I hear to many problems with the Memphis 4kw and the Autotek 4000.1 is what i origianlly wanted to get but there only rated at 2ohm stable and i heard they can heat up at 1ohm.

I planned on keepin it at 1 ohm because it is daily and I dont know if my eletrical would support .25, and i dont want to find out the hard way.

Well if you have some info/experience that you'd like to share, it'd do nothing but help the thread...it seems like you have a lot of experience with high powered amps, more than me at least, so might as well share the wealth of info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

lets just say they were almost as bad as orion hcca-d5000 with problems. BTW, RF stopped production on the T3000s.

My good buddy is a RF dealer and has a few shops in the state and that sell RFs left and right. He is in good contact with the owners of RF and they always send him the newest cool things and specially modded amps. They didn't stop making the T3000s due to issues, he said the T30001bd were doing well over 4000wrms so they just turned it into the T40001 he said they have almost the identical internals they just made some very slight changes. Did you get your info from a reliable source?

Get a big electrical and you can get near 4000 out of that sundown from what i hear
My electrical is upgraded but I am not switching over to 16V so at standard voltage (13.8-14.4) will the sundown really produce enough power for me to get these MTs really loud, I know they like 2-3kwrms each. That is why the RF struck me first. I guess i was just sold into the RF and I want to know if thats really the best amp, FOR THIS APPLICATION.

I have no doubt the SAZ-3000 is good but will it be my best option?
