Saw this amp online...

I would NOT recommend KENWOOD amps. I am using a Kenwood KAC-9152D and this piece of shit goes into protect every 5 mins and I only have the gains on it about 30% up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I would never get a Kenwood amp ever again. Just a bit of info you mgiht want. Others will side with me also //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Good luck on your find. your amp is going into protect cause something is wrong.... miswired sub low voltage etc. i would check those gains with a dmm to make sure they are set right

Well, here's a someone that won't. Both of my amps are Kenwood units and I bang on 'em hard day in and day out without the first problem. The only time I thought I had a problem (my 4ch shut down out of the blue one afternoon) it was due to install error on my part and not the amp ~ a wire came loose and threw the amp into protect. Fixed the loose wire, reset it by turning the system off then back on, and viola! No problems since //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

netherland24 ~ the CEA-2006 ratings standards compliance isn't a rating per se - simply an acknowledgement that the ratings conform with a standard previously set forth by an outside agency //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I cannot speak for any of the current 'regular' Kenwood amps as I haven't used one in a long, long time. But the eXcelon units seem to do just fine day in and day out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i don't even know if i'm in the market for a new amp, it really all depends on how much money i have after i buy my subs(or rather how many hours i'm geting at work) i was just browsing.

and i remember hearing the rule of thumb $1per watt so it just seemed really cheap
