I heard that XM bought sirus and at the begining of the year they are going to merge.
Yeah, they talk about it once and a while on opie and anthony. i dont think its official yet, but its probably guna happen. its too bad though cus then they no longer have any competition. prices may rise

They call it "A merger of equals". But sirius will be the main company if it passes through the judicial process, which i don't see happening and if it doesn't it could drag down both companies.

Do you have direct hook up. Or a roady. Direct is crazy, It is clear as hell. A must if useing sat radio!!!!!
I have a direct hookup. I have the receiver thats made for pioneer decks. Dont get me wrong, its clear ,its just worse than a good bit rated cd.

No they haven't.
And sirius ftmfw. its got howard.

For the record, Stern is a douche.

The merger is pending FCC approval. The pricing, post merger, is already on the street. No real increase.

SQ isn't that of a CD, but who cares. It's still better than regular broadcast radio and the music selection is broader than what you can fit on your iPod. If you want an audiophile source, use a CD and quit whining. If you care more about having something to listen to without the crap of broadcast radio's tiny playlists, few to no commercials, no worries about broadcast range and no need to tote around a huge CD case and dealing with the CD swaps, SAT radio is the way to go.

I had XM for a couple years and it was nice to have. The sound quailty was a little lacking, but I had a pretty big system, so still could thump it pretty good. I usually listened to the rock channels or alternative and some comedy. Also mine was a direct connect as well. I was thinking about getting it again, but just got an iPod Nano and gonna try that out for now. Then might purchase a Creative Zen being they sound better on the go or so I heard.

Who's whining? I was mearly stating facts.

Any compressed music will sound worse than a CD. Going down the highway at 70, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference though unless you're using an FM mod in which case the limitations of the FM receiver will still be fairly apparent. Most modern music is so poorly produced that the difference isn't all that big between a CD and a 128kps mp3 as far as sound quality goes anyway.
