Still have a few nooks and crannys.. Then in 2 weeks I will spray her down with spectrum.. Then I will add spec sludge.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Curious what the tape that the sell does.. I'm thinking the foil tape makes all the seams look nice correct?

ironically, there's a picture of the Damplifier deadening in the back. And isn't that too much overkill with the spray and sludge on top of the Damp? If you don't have gas shocks on your trunk lid, it'll be quite heavy.

And I think the foil is there to hold the tar together. It retains, flexes to contours, and is easier to work with.

Sorry for the not spelling Damplifier right.. It's 12:36 am and I've been working on the lid since 3 pm.. The car is in the garage and I have more trunk work to do on that tomorrow.

On top of all this I gotta go take a shower I stink. Then I got a 21 year old wife in bed that wants major attention //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

it's been a LONG day.

I'll most likely just spectrum it I dunno yet.. advise is always welcome though

no problem, looks good.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'll have more pic's of the whole process up soon.

I should be able to take really good photos with the trunk lid off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nope...deadening just adds weight..more weight you add, the less rattle there will be. It's more effective to add a layer or two of spectrum over the mat. A gallon of spectrum is PLENTY as well.

well I guess the 5 gallons of spectrum and the sludge additive rotfl would be way over kill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I Need to get a hold of some 1 gal buckets to put the spectrum in for when I do use the sludge on my trunk..

Im surprised nobody else mentioned this yet... the shiny side is suppose to go down! Other than that, it looks great. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
