satelite whining

I just installed a alpine sirius reciever and I am getting a whing that is noticable on lower rpms of the engine. does that antenna wire from the satelite reciever need to be ran away from rca's?

I have XM but mine is right next to it and no problem. I have the auxillary going into the head unit too.

and how is it hooked up? directly into the HU? through an fm modulator? the fm modulator(sp) is possible that it will pick up interfierence

I have the XM Commander and the **** thing whines all of the time. Even when the truck isn't running. I think it is the headunit causing my problems. Oh well, new X889 going in this weekend. Will see if that helps.
