Why in the hell would they block a site?

I know not.

I know that lots of smart phones come w/blocks.

All you have to do is unlock them.

i am going to be upgrading to the tilt or the 8925, i will not be getting a data plan but i will be able to block the phone from getting on the att data, since this phone is wi fi capable and since everywhere i go has wifi i see no need in spending 50 bucks on a data plan when i won't be using it, i can just get on the wifi and be happy, i'm mostly getting it for the qwerty keyboard though..

Don't do it online.

Go to an actual HQ & pay tha $250 + $100 rebate.

Because THEN you get warranty & such that isn't offered online.

Ehh, look @ HTC smart phones, or iMate.

They're more towards work PDA smart phones. VERY VERY nice phones though.

iMate is meant for work, lots of wi-fi compatible phones.. & HTC is so sexy.

Wi-fi compatibility is not a plan.

Its merely a feature to access the internet without having to go through the data plan.

You could access it wherever there is a wireless router and you know the password to connect to it.

That's how they get the $80 price tag, which is a bit pricey.
