same subs, different magnets ???

hi

i gonna be running (4) IDMAX's down the road and i have a question.

the subs will all be V.3 dual 2 ohms. they will all go in a sealed box with each sub in its own chamber. i will have 2 amps. each amp running 2 subs. thing is, i assumed all of the V.3 IDMAX's were they same, but 2 of them have triple stacked magnets while the other has thicker double stacked ones. the subs are the same in height though

would i have any issues here? i cant see there being any problems, but i still wanted to double-check

thx

Do you have different T/S perameters for the different subs??? BL might be different between the subs. This might affect performance, idk, I could be wrong also...

Jon

mmmm.. i dont have the T/S specs from either sub when i got them

anyone know this? T/S specs for the double and triple stacked magnet?

however, i doubt Image Dynamics put out a different spec sheet just coz of the magnets, would they?

my problem isnt MIXING/WIRING a double and triple magnet V.3 together. i wont do that.

my question is, if i run 2 of the same on one amp and 2 of the same on the other, will there be any sound/cancellation issues etc.???

I would call and ask or even make a post on their forum.

x2, id definitly call and ask, because im willing to bet the T/S are slightly different.

if the heights are exactly the same like you say, then im guessing the one with the double stack magnets has a taller top plate or back plate. but if thats not the case, then there will most likely be no change in any parameters just because of the double vs triple stacked magnets.

the 2 double magnets are thicker and therefore, the same height as 3 thinner ones

is this something you have measured, or have eyed up?

a difference as small as a couple of millimimeters can change the T/S. im not saying that what you are saying isnt true, just tryin to make sure and help you. its completely possible they changed from a double .75" magnet slug to triple .5" slugs
