same box- different excursion

I got two ten inch level4s in 2.6 cube box ported to the side. There both loading off the port wall but the one closest to the inner port opening has less throw and gets slightly warmer than the other-probably due to less air flow on the same power. The box sounds good and I'm getting a 146 on a dailly box tuned to 37hz with 14 sq.in/cube of port

So what do you think? Normal?

The first thing I think of is your subs might be wired out of phase

I bet the sub getting too much throw has a leak around the gasket. it may not have been mounted properly against the front baffle.

I can try later. Real simple design. Slot port to the side about 22" long. Subs loading off port wall.
