Hi, i have a ts-w12prs/ pioneer and i am getting a profile amp AP1040 4 ch, for the time being. Can i bridge 2 channels and connect them to one voice coil and the bridge the other two and connect them to the second voice coil of the same sub?? when 2 channels are bridged the amp will output 225rms maybe its a bit overrated dunno. lets say it will output 200rms, so i will be powering the sub with 400rms right?? the sub is rated at 300rms, so this amp should do well?? I am a bit worried to wire the sub this way, when it comes to set the amp built in cross over, one voice coil will be affected before the other( i cant turn the xover settings of all 4 channels together) will it have any bad effect?? No problem for the gain cz i will set it with a DMM before connecting the sub. Thx

4 channel amps arent meant to drive subs, so it may tend to overheat if you push it too hard.

my fosgate 501x got pretty hot, but then again, i had no endcaps and it wasnt mounted anywhere and i pushed it pretty hard sometimes
