SA Nightshade V3 12" vs Orion HCCA 12" 5000w DVC 2ohms

Where you from? Do you know any audioshops that can help me? Or can you help me im from queens new york
Look around the page. It says exactly where everyone comes from.

If you are having a shop do it in new york instead of doing it yourself, might as well double your budget, the labor and markup there is ridiculous.... Put some blood sweat and tears into your setup and work on it yoursel

I cant put on my setup by myself im still newbie in installing this suff. Im considered newbie at this stuff. Im still learning

Im just messing bud. Anywhere from 600 to 1500 depending on the amount of custom work and tuning needed.
****. Its still alot man. I own a audioshop named AudioWorks88 here in the philippines its cheap here in my shop. The labor here is like 100-300

we have minimum wage laws and unions, high cost of rent and utilities so yeah labor always costs a lot.

That 600$ price includes a custom enclosure along with all the install accessories and tuning. The 1500$+ end would be if you wanted to do major fiberglass or plexi glass work for an extreme show car.

There are shops where they will try to charge you 800 dollars for just the basic install and an 600 bucks for a plain carpeted wooden box. You should definitely stay away from those shops.

I understand your from the Philippines and thing are different over there, but audio is audio... if you own a shop all these questions your asking are beginner questions. You should know all this stuff already. I guess start searching the forum and reading and learning.

My uncles and the crew do the installing and stuff and i do the marketing but im learning thou. I just can't do it by myself. Sadlyf lol

Actually that amp he listed is .5ohm stable
For what he's referring to (very high output) I don't think it will do .5ohm without causing a **** ton of distortion/heat (he will 100% risk blowing both the amp and sub at .5ohm with that amp, that's why i said it won't truly do .5 ohm)

Soundstream amp is garbage. Avoid at all costs. Tucson can get loud. Dave the Box guy did numerous 150+ builds with only a 5K amp for power.

You should try to contact my friend Andre in the Bronx: https://www.facebook.com/andras.radvanyi

He is B2 dealer and has a beautiful workshop full of custom subs and good quality amps. He may also know who does reliable work in the city.

To those of you who suggest OP does his own install, have you ever been in NYC? Odds are a parking space in the city costs more per month than a high end rent/mortgage in a small town or more modern city. It's simply not the place to do shade-tree installs and few people own proper house with a driveway or garage.

I already sent a message to your friend in facebook and also contacted davetheboxguy thru email for my custom box. how about the hifonics or poweracoustic amps? are they garbage also?

Spot on man. but we own a small house in NY but also cant work because we have no indoor garage and the garage also is occupied with cars all the time.

thanks for the reply. i hope your friend message me back.

Power Acoustik and Hifonics are mostly trash too. You'll do far better investing your money into a good quality amp. Lower quality amps will be inefficient, unreliable, and have little re-sale value. If you're concerned with price shop used out of the classifieds or look into buying a refurbished unit from an amp repair shop who specializes in such things.

I don't know if Dave still builds custom boxes??? I haven't seen him in a couple years (on the forum or at local shows) and he used to be regular at both. If you can get hold of him he does very good work and his boxes are worth the price.

PM me here if Andre doesn't get back to you in a day or two and I'll pass you his phone number.

Dave doesnt make boxes anymore sadly. Someone recommended me the shop who makes costum boxes named The Box Shop i asked them alreayd but waiting for a reply.

I dont mind buying used amps as long that it is going to be worth it and the performance still good as new. Im really new in town and dont know where to go so **** hard.

There's a lot of guys in my area running refurbished amps from these guys: Refurbished Amplifiers

Db-R Electronics also sells refurbished amps which should be as good as or better reliable than new.
