s10 regular can box help

I have a 1991 s10 reg cab. Im trying to build a box for 2 10's but the max depth i can get in only 4.5 inches which can only fit shitty 10" subs. This is with using 3/4 MDF wood with the whole box. Is there any way I can use thinner wood to allow a deeper mounting depth? Also does anyone have any plans i can use because right now I need some help.
