S/N Ratio question

is it better to have an amp with a higher or lower S/N Ratio, whats the difference....clarity?

Theoretically a high s/n is better.

Realistically there's not an amp built with a low enough S/N for it to matter.

High s/n just looks better in the sales specs and helps justify the price of an expensive amp.

It kinda is like the sensitivity rating on subs, Unfortunately I don't believe their is much regulation on how they measure the number so it is kinda like a saleman... Maybe they didn't lie BUT they word it in a way that they don't tell ya whole truth but not lyin lol
