Ok, so I'm getting an extra True Bass 8 to use in my room... The question I have is are plate amps 2 ohm stable? If so, which ones are?

I'm looking for about 200-250 watts.

Also, platw amps use an RCA in like a car audio amp right?

I've searched, but I couldn't find answers to my questions...

Most of them aren't stable into 2ohms.

Assuming those 8's you are wanting to use are single 4ohm coils...you could always wire them in series for an 8ohm load instead.

And yes, most take RCA inputs

You shouldn't need to have RCA outputs from your amp, a lot of plate amps take high-level (speaker) inputs, removing the need to have a dedicated subwoofer preout.
