running speaker wire

I manged to find a spot to mount the crossover in the door so all that needs to be done now is find the factory speaker wires inside the car -- hopefully where it comes in at the loom/boot splice the wire and run it to the amp.

get a new car, that SHOULD solve most of your problems, not sure, dont thank me for my genius

I would but mannn those hondas like yours are just too much for me to handle.

If indeed you mount the X~over there...You also have to consider moisture in the doors could in time have an affect

on those X-overs.And another factor(Possibly) could be the shutting of the door causing loose connections inside the X-overs?

Maybe I'm wrong,which would be good.It would be ashame to do that...and have the X~over S*it the Bed/:( .

well, mine are mounted in my doors with industrial strength velcro (do not use duck tape it fails over time) and one was even lying in the bottom of the door in a puddle of water (before I upgraded from duck tape to velcro) and they both still function 100%

I mounted the crossovers onto the door panel and theyre quite high so I should be good. All wiring is done etc im just having a little problem with the amp. Im using a mtx ta7402 with the "hi-line rcas" that come with the amp. The rca's are hooked to the rear speakers and supposivly if done this way a remote wire is not needed. The amp comes on when the rca's are plugged in but will not turn off with the car.

The amp may remain on for up to 5 minutes after the car is turned off. If it does not turn on after that then you will need to hook up a remote line. The "smart engage" system on the MTX amps is nice but not perfect.

i also have a saab. i have an 02 9-3 and thats what i did. i put the cross overs in the door and splices into the speaker wire on both sides of the doors.

I found the problem with the amp not turning off but have no clue how to fix it and dont believe its from anything I have done to the car because if I remember correctly I noticed this after I bought it but thought it was an anti-theft thing. The part that you actually insert the cd into (separete part from the HU) seems to stay on. The eject button and light below the cd slot stay lit and when putting my ear up to the speakers I can hear static. This is after the doors have been shut/locked as well.

Maybe its normal or stays on for a few min? Does yours do this 00maxima?
