Running Different brands of subs?

Is running different brand subs bad? Not from the same amp. Like 2 subs of brand "X" from one amp, and then having 2 subs of brand "Y" from another amp. Will this sound crappy?

Right now ive got 2 DLS sp12's with a Hifonics 1600W. Wasnt sure what other subs I was going to put in later down the line. DLS is from sweden, so buying their stuff is hard. Thats why I ask if it would be okay if I use different brands.

yeah, I wouldn't do it.

Not necessarily....you could have cancellation problems and the two sub are going to produce a different response curve but it is possible and if your going for spl you might like it. For sq this is a horrible idea

Not necessarily. It honestly depends on a HUGE list of variables.

But, basically: odds are the subs will cause cancelation and it might lower your output.

Ah okay, ill just stick with DLS products then. The exact subs are pretty pricey. Like $400 i saw on ebay for just 1. Heres specs - http://dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_138
