Running all new speaker wire, what do you think?

Since i lost my license this month for my accident (broken tie rod and totaled the monte for those of you who didn't know) I'm planning on getting my carputer all in and amping all my speakers. I'm looking at putting 12 guage in for all the speakers (3 sets) and i'm wondering is 12 overkill or will i notice the difference between it and 14? I want to do it right the first time. Also where are the best place online to get speaker wire? Brands? Thanks

overkill. actually 16 guage if fine for speakers and walmart sells rolls of it cheap. i'm sure someone else will post telling you to buy some expensive wire since it somehow improves sq and db's

so 16 will be just fine... ok then i have some 12 guage that i have wired up to my L7, will that be fine also?

I second the 16. The only thing I would run larger is maybe 12 or 14 to a passove crossover, but the crossover to the speakers should be 16 imo
