i have jl 6.5 c5's

3way active?

I will be powering mids with 300wrms and subs with 300 a piece. Subs don't play a huge role in the SQ scene.

I would prefer more power but I can't find another Minilith for subs.

Typically I've seen around 300wrms on mids and about 500 each sub. But it's so relative. I've also seen 200 on sub and 75 on mids, it's about what you want.

Just follow the rms raiting of the woofer and tweeter but some put more power but never exceed the peak power handling.

so active i would run 75 to tweeters and 75 to woofers separtly

You can control slopes, Xover points, etc, at your finger tips...

Yes sir.

Get a very small 2-channel that does 30 or 40 watts per channel, and keep the gain all the way down...

Find another 2-channel that does 100+ watts per channel and put it on the mids...

The amount of power needed depends entirely on the speakers you choose, and how you install them. I always make sure I have more power than I'll ever need...
