RUnning a power wire through a 1992 civic

Right now I have a 4awg wire going through the right fender of my civic wired through the back to the trunk, the wire is un-noticable, and me and a friend installed it a while back after saying screw it to the "correct" way to wire it. Now I have upgraded my system and im going to need to run another 4awg wire to the rear because im going to run nearly 2000 watts(at most), and I was wondering how to do it the correct way. I have pretty much taken most parts of my car apart to clean and to understand more about it, but You all are the pros...

Your gonna need some thicker cable. Drill a hole in the fire wall and install a grommet. silicone around the grommet and run your wire to the trunk under the carpet. I tape my wires down with duct tape.

Yep...i have my 1/0 goin through that one and plenty room to spare

1/0 fits with room to spare.

Kris you should consider 1/0 gauge instead of (2) 4 gauge runs.

I was thinking about doing that. Right now I have about 6-7 feet of 1/0awg wire in 1 piece which isnt enough to get to the back. I just dont feel like spending another 30+$$ to get the 10-12 feet that I need....

I made up my mind that Im going to go the correct route and go with 1/0, but I would like to get this wire by friday 8pm, Im going to PA to install it with a buddy of mine.

Exactly how many ft am I going to need to run it through the firewall of a 92 civic to get it to the backseats?

my 02 civic coupe had about 3-4 feet of slack left from a 17' wiring kit. but it's always best to get more than you need imho. might not save you money, but it'll definitely save you time. don't forget about a little extra for your ground too btw.
