Running a 3ohm subwoofer at a 2/4 ohm load

what are the coils?

Dual 3ohm?

If so you can wire the coils in parallel and have a 1.5 ohm load. With box rise you will be safe and get a little more than 300w out of that amp

Wtf kind of W3 has dual 3 ohm coils:confused:

Or is it dual 6?

You amp will just run at 3 ohms if its dual 6, putting out power right about in between 300 and 150, so about 225w.

If its dual 3, like^^ he said run it at 1.5 and it should do alright

I accidently bought a 3/6ohm DVC JL Audio 10w3 on accident. My amp is setup right now for a 2ohm load, or a 4 ohm. My question is, would it better to run it at 2ohms or 4 ohms? the pushes 300.1 at 2 ohms and 150.1 at 4ohms

if you wire the dvcs correctly = no problems.

probably.
