Running 275w rms sub on 150w rms amp?

Ok cool. This is what I am interested in:

i ran 200watts rms to 250watt rms subs for almost 2 years, no problems. gain and boost being used, just not maxed out.

rockford stage 2 punch 12" (X2)

rockford p400-4 amp

Thanks for the feedback. It was a long shot but there will definitely be much more powerful subs in the trunk, so clearing it out isn't an option...
