Running 275w rms sub on 150w rms amp?

No, it will be fine. Just don't turn the amplifier's gains up or bass up too much on your h/u trying to get more power than the amp is able to produce.

i ran 200watts rms to 250watt rms subs for almost 2 years, no problems. gain and boost being used, just not maxed out.
