Here's what I'm thinking about doing:

getting the DD 9915, an amp, and a head unit

the speakers can wait until I get money because I can just turn the subs down if needed.

I don't know which amp to get though. I understand those hifonics brutus amps are pretty killer. How do I figure out how much wattage I need for this sub? I can't find it on the site.

i'im still piecing my system together, and it won't be finished until taxes, but will be much better and happier with when all is said and done.

i don't think that $1000 will be enough for a 9915, box and amp. i say go with a mag, xxx, brahma instead. BTW they are not pure SPL subs, which i don't think you want anyways, if you just want something that bumps.

I need to realize that the 9915 is more for competition instead of pleasure. I think I am going to get 2 mags.

why dont you just get a 9515? if youre not competing i think it would save you money and still keep you happy.

then you could still afford a cheap spl amp like a lanzar, hifonics, etc and get all your accessories that you need.. im nto exactly sure how much the 95xx series is though.
