RSD12D box - could it be better

I just built a box for two PG RSD12Ds and it sounds pretty good but the sound doesn't have as much definition or kick as i expected. Is this just eq/amp settings or could it be something with the box? Box is 2 sections, 1.8cf each before displacement w/ no bracing besides the center divider. thanks

i'll put some pics up later today. could polyfill or decreasing the volume or bracing help? ive messed with the HU some i don't know if it could improve it that much. thanks

Not really sure, see,I built a box(sealed) thats 1.5cubes each chamber and Im also thinking about those subs vs. Cvx's. Just exaclty what is it that you think is missing?

Well it has plenty of output for what i wanted, but based on the reviews i would imagine the sound isn't nearly as defined as it could be, it seems to be a little slower or muddier maybe than it should be. There is also not as much kick or tightness as i would like on higher notes (not meaning like 100Hz, just meaning higher than the lowest). But i am pretty sure its something with my setup and not with the sub partially based on how more experienced people reviewed it and also because it just seems to have the potential. Any opinions? If i were to try temporarily shrinking the box to see how it sounds what would be safe to fill the space with?

I have my tens in a very small box and they are very tight and detailed. Put some wood inside the chambers to see if a smaller enclosure will tighten it up abit.

2x4's or mdf

Added some more decent pictures to the OP

What would be my best bet for cleaning up the sound, polyfil or decreasing the volume? Ill try both if necessary but i'm not sure wich direction to go first

I hope you didn't buy those RSD's thinking that they will perform like a an idMAX:furious: but, any ways that size of box should be fine for them, so check for any air leaks around the box.
