round or slot port

What would get me more spl, a round port tuned to 44hz, or a slot port tuned to 44hz, or would they sound the same if the were in the same size box.. is tuning tuning... i mean like it will sound the same because its tuned the same???

yes, if the port area is the same, it will not matter.

port tuning refers to the volume the port uses.

V=LxWxH ----> for cubes

V=(pi)(r^2)h ----> for cylinders

Im kinda noOb at this stuff, so like how could i make the port area the same if the 4 inch port is alot smaller cuz it would be like a pvc pipe 4x3" or something (just a ballpark).. and then my square port is 12"hx6"wx8.3"L..
