But eh it was a suzuki gsxr 1000 first time i ever rode any kind of motorcycle let alone a crotch rocket.

as long as you ride defensively and not like those idiots that weave between traffic, you should be sorta safe. You can never tell because people can't seem to see motorcycles that well.

Buy a good jacket with armor in it. Also something easy to see (red? blue? multicolored?)

Gixxers are nice rides, to be sure.

Just be aware they aren't particularly comfortable for long rides. If it's just going to be an around-town kinda thing then a sport bike is okay - but if you ever plan on going out of town or anything akin to that then a cruiser might be a better choice.

It's non that hard. I picked up in the first 15 minutes or so (but that was just me).

A little different with the foot shifter and what not, but you'll get the hang of it quick.

The biggest problem with owning a bike is riding in traffic and rain...

and you will drop... eventually...

Just be careful and enjoy the ride.

i wouldent get a GSXR 1000 as a biginer bike!!! maybe a 600 or 750.. will still be pretty fast... just be carfull

i used to own a gsxr 1000 w/ ALLOT of upgrades. fast and very fun.. miss that bike!!!

please, PLEASE dont be a squid, get yourself a true beginner bike, not a 600, more like a ninja 250 or 500, yes they are gay, and no, they arent cool, but the experienced gain from them will quite possibly one day save your life. a 1000 is definitely NOT a bike for a beginner no matter what anyone tells you

easier than a car IMO because you have more motor skills in your hand then you do your feet so you can control the clutch better and get a feel for friction points faster

haven't watched the vid but sounds like you did pretty good. Like others are saying just need to take it easy. My first and only street bike I have ridden is an 03 R1 I had some experience on dirt bikes though, but all that gives me is handling and knowing how the hand/foot controls work.

Just like guns, ya gotta give them the respect that they deserve, disrespect them and they will turn on your faster then a funky pup being fed by a saz-3000
