Rockford RFD2212's...

Hi all... I was planning on ordering two Rockford Fosgate HX2'S (RFD2212.) I read alot of reviews and they sounded like they were kick *** subs, but i was just reading some, and wanted to make sure. Im not a moron, i have hooked up systems before, but i dont listen to rap. Maybe occasionally to be dumb, but i dont listen to it. I listen to a little bit of everything, but mostly rock. The reviews said that this sub was not good for rock because it wasnt accurate enough. Im not sure what to believe, so does anyone know? Would this sub be good for me? I want it to be a pretty loud system, as im installing it with a 1200 watt amp. Would it still sound good or would it just sound like shit? Help appreciated... thanks

They are very good speakers. I had two of them. Well only hooked one up cuz my car was tiny. But it was very amazing for how much I paid.

If you can get them for less than 100 each it would be a pretty good buy.

And on a side note they can take a lot of abuse.

The MSRP is around $250-$300. They are last years model, and the cheapest i can find them is about $130 with shipping. I can only find a few sites that still have them in stock.

The Punch HX2 series subs were pretty good. You would have a good deal if you can get them at that price. They would be worth it and they can play rock with ease.

i figured it was, but i might be getting them from the guy on this board whos selling them, $200 shipped and not that used. Sounds nice to me. I can get them new, factory sealed for $296.75 with shipping.

to be honest.....thats the last decent sub rf came out with.....i had 2 of them ..and i had 2 rf he2 10's and i'm telling u those subs r good

Honestly for 130 it is one of the best subs out there, especially for beginners. Its been torture tested and stood the test of time. I've beat 3 of these 15's unmercifully only to have one blow on me. They get loud ported or sealed, they don't sound the best but they are not terrible by any stretch of the means. Anywhere in the 500 watts area is perfect.
