Hey, I just traded a older Pioneer SuperTuner for this amp, I also threw in 30$ on my end, But i am wondering if i made a good buy, I didnt get endcaps with it, but he said he has at his house and will get to me....either way, is it a good amp? how underrated is it? Would it push my 3 p3s better than my kx1200?

And does anyone know how old it is? Like what year it was manufactured

I have a Power 351s from that generation and I think the birth sheet showed something wicked low like 368 watts RMS @ 4 ohms mono. If I can locate the birth sheet I'll post it up.

can you get them below 4 ohms mono though? and if so, how much would they push? like, what if i hooked my 3 p3's up to it bridged, they are at 2.67 ohms...would the amp hold it?

That amplifier, along with everything else in the line, is only rated for 4 ohm bridged or 2 ohm stereo. You "may" be able to get them to bridge lower, but be warned, they run pretty hot at 4 ohms mono and 2 ohms stereo. As it is, my 351s gets pretty warm powering components in my wife's vehicle at 4 ohms stereo.

Lol so what the hell should I do with it? I really got no used for a 4-ohm amp bridged...What you think it's worth w/o end caps? And the plastic around ground terminal is busted, but screw still works to fasten wire in there, and they seriously only have 8ga max input? How the hell they expect us to wire the amp?

Not everyone puts 1/0 into puny amps that only make 500w

Ive had several 501s and I had them all running below 4ohm bridged. Mos def, count on them getting hot...like real hot if you run 2.6ohm load, count on them working... but getting hot enough to burn carpet depending on duration of use.

all my oldschool RF amps are great. My girl uses my punch 40 that gets hot but never had an issue since 1994

They get hot, but it wont hurt the amp? I got mine mounted on side of box atm tbh, cuz i got no room to put amp anywhere else...wont start my box on fire will it? lol.

All of them old Fosgates get pretty hot under 4ohm, but will push some power. I have always ran Rf under 4ohm and never had a problem other than a hot *** amp. I ran my 800a2 at 1ohm to see if it would do it...It did, but also got hot enough to fry an egg
