Rockford or Cadence??? help

I'm new to all of this so I was hoping someone could help me. Right now I have a Polk Audio MM124 12" sub, 500rms 1000peak 4ohms, and I'm using an Infinity amp to power it. I'm looking at upgrading my amp, because its very weak. I was told by someone that the Rockford Fosgate p300.1 would be a good amp and someone else said that the Cadence TXA3002 would be a good amp to get. I'm also maybe looking at upgrading my sub sometime soon to so I want an amp that would work for that as well.

neither are my first choice but outa those the rockford. But if your sub is 500 w rMs why only a 300 w amp?

Thats what I was thinking, but this guy seemed to know what he was talking about, but then again he was a salesmen lol. What would you suggest? Something around the same price range tho.

If its a SVC 4 ohm sub then I would get a US Amps XT-800.2. its rated at 520w @ 4ohm bridge. those go for a little ofer $175 or if its DVC 4 ohm a Hifonics TXi 7506. its rated at 500w at 2 ohm (750 at 1 ohm) andthose go for around $225

What about US AMPS XT1600.2? Would this be good for this sub, turned down of course. I also want my new amp to be good enough for an upgrade later on, not just good for this sub.

id sy the hifonics then. what coil is ur sub? and i beleive the xt1600.2 is 400w at 2 ohms but I could be wrong

personally i would go with cadence...

search on ebay cadence amp and look at all teh amps.

Its a SVC 4ohms sub. So the xt1600.2 wouldn't be good?

ROCKFORD!!!! i would stay away from cadence.....my friend had 2 of there subs and he spent more time and money shippin them back to the dealer so they could get them fixed instead of useing them.....i think he has sent them back 3 times he said **** it and he is actually in the process of sending them back now but he is requesting that they send him a diff brand cause we both said **** cadence!!!so again i say ROCKFORD ALL THE WAY!!

im lookin at the 3002 as well 130 shipped to your house on there web site. not bad i have 2 pioneer 12s ,4 ohm, 250 rms each it should work for me.

How about a capacitor? Do I need one? If so what is a good brand for one?
