Rockford help

Ok these are some Rockford subwoofers that my step dad gave to me he says they are about 6-8 years old but I have no idea what model they are so can any of you identify them and give me any info on them

Yeah it is the btr-123 it's sounds pretty good but do these count as subwoofers or full range speakers? I have them hooked up to a 2 channel kenwood 1000w bridgable amp each sub is on one channel and the voice coils are 4 ohm so that works to about 200-250watts to each and they pound. They sound louder than my dads 2 10" kickers at 750watts each.

haha, noice Thats pretty crazy because I think the document said the box is like 150watts rms

Yeah thoes are definetly their entry level series.

Yeah I'm thinking of taking the 12" speakers out ant installing 2 12" Rockford p3's n hook it up to my Rockford tb10001bd mono amp.

Might as well install the P3's in a different box. I wouldn't put em in there with the tweets and everything.

I was gonna disable the tweeters and the volume of the box is close to the required volume of the p3's so I should work

Build a new box to specs for the P3s.

The p3's require 1.75 and my box works out to 1.669 in each side.

The cu ft might be OK, but you would still be better off building a new one. Having to plug the ports and the spots where the tweeters and stuff are is just going to make the cu ft go down and you will have a big chance of air leaks.

Might as well leave that box the way it is with the old school speakers still in it.

Even a newer prefab would prolly work better than that old thing all patched up.

You don't have to listen and you can try to justify the box all you want, but its not gonna change facts....
