What do you guys think of 2 12" HE2's.......I know there are a lot better for the money, but i can pick both of these up for $150 total, brand new. They are the brand new models, dual 4 ohm. I would put about 300 watts rms to each. They would be in standard box, 1.25 cubic feet per chamber, sealed of course. WIll it Wang

yea they will bump and that is a good price for the drivers... my sister got a single for 100 so you got a good deal id suggest you a larger box and port them for maximum potential. Make sure have a good amplifer driving them and you'll be in good shape.

1.25 cubic feet per chamber isn't big enough?? Also, i thought that a sealed box is better for subs that aren't that powerful. Only really powerful subs shouls be ported.

My friend has a 10" HE2 in a Q-logic 1.5 cube ported box, what is it tuned to?? Only god knows. But it does get pretty loud in such a big car(lincoln continental). Alot of people think he has 2 12"s, but then again, most of those people are idiots.

Either way they are a decent sub, and can handle their rated power nicely(he's got a 401S bridged at 2 ohms running to it). I've even hooked it up to my bx1500d at 2 ohms (~1000 watts) and it didn't give up. Got nasty loud in my truck too :thumbsup

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt the 401s bridged to a 4ohm load... and his he2 10" [which i used to own] cant be wired to a 4ohm load. might wanna check your friends wiring...
I know, its dual 4 ohm. We have it wired in parallel to produce a 2 ohm load. We know the amp isn't 2 ohm stable bridged, but it hasn't given up yet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My friend has two 12 he2s in a 1.25 sealed each. They get loud. They were louder than my brahma 12 1.5 sealed. Didn't sound as good, but for that price they are worth it. They should get loud enough in a sealed for you. Push about 400 watts to each. My friend's takes them like a champ.

I have to say, these subs are decent, a buddy of mine has 2 10" he2's in his 82 monte carlo, a big *** car, and they bump nicely. They are massively underpowered (200 rms each), and they are not bad, he got them through me, cheap, like 60 usd a piece, and they are worth every penny... IMO of course

Yeah, thats me. I put an RF 801s to it (you can get them on ebay for like 240) @ 400 watts rms and they sound good. They definietly will bump for the money. I paid 100 dollars a piece for mine so you're getting a good deal =P. =)
