ha, i have them. They are decent but im about to purchase 2 shockers now. I think you are mainly paying for the Rockford Fosgate name. They are decent, not the worst and by far the best. But i have 3 12s im trying to get off me right now. 2 of the 12s were only used a week with only 300RMS going to them. and the third is in my room.

Ya they come in dual voice coil 4 ohm and they handle 500 watts rms.......you need all of the 500 watts to make them sound good though. They are not subs for low power usage. Why ? The punch HX2's are some great subs. They are a little on the power hungry side. Throw those bastages in a 2.5 cuft ported box with about a 30hz tuning. HX2's are decent subs but there are at least a dozen i would take over them any day of the week. i know i have sent 1 of those 750rms and it ripped to shred's that was fun as hell though. it was in a 2.7cuft before displacment box so roughly 2.5 after ported to 35hz it thumped hard but the surround ripped like 3" of it.

15" punch HX2 was in a 3cuft same amp ripped it apart then we tried the 12" in the 2.5cuft enclosure ripped it apart as well. all i know is that was some funny shit. then we hooked a power HX2 up to a zapco c2k 9.0 and whoa nelly did that thing fry like some eggs on a hot skillet hehehe. what can i say a group of guys at an audio shop with 2 hours of time on their hands bad stuff happens.
