kappa 3-way vs cdt cambria

3 ways aren't always better than 2 ways. i love the cambria. for the price i bought them for, it was a good purchase. whats good about the CDT audio is their tweeters. rich and smooth. you shouldn't be dissappointed with either one of them.

my cambria sounds great. good thing is that they will hardly ever distort (audible distortion) when you send them their recommended RMS. Mids are nice. very coparable to the kappa. if you want mids that are even better, opt for the classic series (same price). classics are generally higher than the cambria. but it's equipped with a metal dome tweeter, which probably sound good also. i'd try the classic first. if you're not happy with them, send give thezeb a call and tell them you want to return it. they have a 30 days return policy. very nice people to work with. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats where i bought my CDT audio from (components for $129:) ) did i mention they are an authorized dealer of CDT audio too? that means you get 3-year warranty on it. i blew mine up and told CDT i bought it from thezeb.com and they replaced it free:) . i live in california and they are in new jersey (i think) and i got my speakers exactly one week from the day i ordered it. 6.95 shipping for entire order no matter what you buy.

if thats not convincing enough, they are members for the Better Business Burea (spelling?). u can rest assure that you are buying from one of the best internet car audio site. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif any problems you have, just give them a call and they will work out everything for you. very nice people

sweet. thanx for the advice....and classics are that much better than cambrias for the same price? did u ever get a chance to hear cdt speakers before u bought them cuz i cant find a store that carries them....

nope. i took a chance. did lots of research and it paid off. not to mention i wanted something that no one else in my school has (everyone has kenwoods, pioneer, etc). with CDT audio having a reputation of being a high-end company, i trusted them. i am happy with the CDT audio speakers and will eventually upgrade to the Eurosport series (if money permits)

So what CDT's would you suggest if I wanted to get some componenets for between 100 and 200 bucks? Preferrably closer to 100, but if the speakers are going to just be simply amazing, I'd go up to 200. Also, which of their 6x9s would be a good purchase? Any specific amp that would work good with them? Thanks!

what size? i don't think there is any CDT's component around 100-200. the cambria's aren't in production anymore. the next best thing is the classic series which is $269 for the 6.5" 2 way components. did i mention a free pair of CDT audio classic 2 ways speakers for the rear?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Originally posted by Brutus2600 Oh, ok. Yeah, I saw the free rear 2-way pair, but they aren't 6x9s, would those work to replace the 6x9s or would the need to be put in a different place?
just make a bracket for them (self made with wood for only $5 total). due to the nature of the 6x9's cone, it will have uneven flex which will distort more at high volumes. the $129 components i got were the cambria series (bottom of the line). it is a discontinued model and they had only 1 box left. usually they are priced at around $200.
