I'm confused. It's rated at 75x2 yet it's putting out over 1000 RMS and WTF is up with over 3000 peak. I call bu11shit on the entire Rockford Fosgate Corporation.

Fosgate amps are my personal pick above all else. I have dealt with just about everything make amp that there is, and overall Fosgate are a very solid investment. They also have an excellent resell value. Especially the old school models.

rockford fosgate makes the best amps out there. they're very underrated too. kicker's good to but RF is just a bit better

The BD stands for the clean power of a B class amp and the efficiency of a D. I would invest in a PUNCH amp. You should search for a POWER SERIES amp around your price range.

True Class B amplification is very rarely used, because the voltage lag between output devices creates horrible crossover distortion. Thus Class AB comes along, with each output device being "on" for more than 50% of the time, but less than the 100% demanded by Class A operation. Most of those older amps, especially those designed with competitions in mind, were severely underrated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The USACI 4-ohm power rules are to blame for a lot of that...

You're smoking crack and you should stop. Rockford Fosgate hasn't made a good product in 10 years with the exception of an amp here and there and the HX2 subwoofer. The new Punch and Power series are crap subs and the amps are overrated and overpriced. I have owned it, heard it, installed it, you name it. I'm not a Kicker fan by any means. In fact I have a deep dislike for Kicker with the exception of amps but the only thing that Kicker makes that is not better than everything that RF makes is the Comp and Comp VR. Rockford Fosgate sucks.
My 2 cents.

I absoloutly like the Solo line. All the way down to the L5. The L7s offer terrific output with relatively reasonable power requirements. I like the Solo X because of the output but can't really afford the amps ya know. The thing stopping me from recommending them is that the corners of the square surround wear and become thin due to the stress there. Kicker has ribbed the corners but it still seems to wear. Perhaps a slight desing modification needs to be made to correct this.

RF amps seem to be built with less quality than Kicker Amps. Even the Power series, to much plastic. All things being equal, Kicker amps just feel way more solid.

do you own a power series? there's no plastic anywhere...

i do not see why so many people hate on the rockford amps. even the punch series amps are nice. the power series are even nicer. i have hooked up a punch p4004 bridged to a 1ohm load an it played music for like ten minutes. it did go in and out of protect but thats it. it was by accident it was supposed to be 4 ohms. but i screwed up. and that really proved to me how good of amps they are really makin. how many four channel amps can do that. and kicker amps are alot more delicate, they really dont seem to like gettin put through anything they were not designed for. but the best kicker amp i messed with was the kx 1200.1

ok heres the deal and heres the truth....i have a 15 l7 ported in my 95 blazer....my first system was an 05 model 15" l7 in the same super bass probox (vented) that i have now on a kx1200 and i tell you what....it f*ckin slammed...i entered my first and only competition and hit a 147.5 with that setup....anyway i sold that amp (mistake) and i was reading all the hype on these power series amps from fosgate which are very sexy looking....anyway so i decided to order a power t1001bd amp instead of another kx1200...when i got the amp i couldnt believe how **** beasty it looked (thick as hell) anyway for a 1000 watt amp it was great...it was rated at 1459 watts which was awesome....i had it on my l7 and it sounded **** good...yet i really couldnt compare it to my old setup with my kx1200 because it had been so long since i heard that system i had....so about 3 weeks ago i decided i wanted a new amp...i sold my power amp on ebay...and was looking for another kx1200...nowhere there discontinued...so i ordered a kicker sx1250.1...finally 3 freakin weeks later it comes in....it looks so sexy especially with the digital display....anyway to the point...i found out the truth real quick and im not just mouthin either im being honest since ive owned both brands of amps...and btw now i am running a 06 l7 15"...anyway i hook the amp up without even touching the digital settings yet and i cannot believe my ears...it blew me away...it already sounded better than my fosgate...and i mean way better...gain was all the way down and bass settings on cd player were all the way down...and it slams so DAM* hard...it makes everything in my vehicle go crazy and vibrates the windshield like crazy...it flexes everything...with the power amp i had to turn the gain nearly halfway up to get it loud...all in all kicker makes better amps than fosgate...and thats the truth...all you fosgate lovers can disagree all you want but ive owned both within a 1 month period...i could not be more happier with my sx1250 in which i got for 460$ brand new btw which is an awesome price for this amp and the digital settings are AWESOME!!!!! rockford fosgate makes excellent amps but kicker amps are the real deal my friend
