Rockford fosgate amplifiers?

i thought everyone knows rockford fosgate makes good amps,just overpriced

prices are not much different from kicker's or any other well known manufacturer for that matter

i would never buy a rockford amp new, maybe if i got a good deal on an older one but never new, way to expensive for the amount of watts they deliver. i just went to bb's web site and they have a rockford amp thats $250, only does 350w rms at 2 ohms. for that much money i could have a phoenix gold xenon 600.1 which does over twice the power at all ohms 1-4

rockford fosgate makes the best amps out there. they're very underrated too. kicker's good to but RF is just a bit better

not even close.

O.P. go check ampguts on ROE to see what's inside the amp before you buy.

if you want kicker, check out ubid.com they used to be on there.

Well, the RF20001bd supposely does 2000@1ohm, but it will 2850 on average. What does the kicker 2500 do?

Both are good amps and do over rated power. Being the BEST, no.

Mine aren't the best, but I'd take my 20.1's over either of those any day.

RF's Power series lineup ain't no joke! I've seen BS's of T3000's doing over 4Kw. T1500.2, a 2 channel rated @ 500rms x 2 that does 1500rms @ 2ohms mono!

correct me if im wrong but arent the xenon amps discontinued? Well i just checked crutchfield's site to compare the rockford retail prices

Rockford P3001 - 300w x 1 @2ohm - $189

Kicker ZX300.1 - 300 x 1 @2ohm - $199

PG RSD300.1 - 300 x 1 @2ohm - $299

and the same holds true all the way up through the rockford and kicker higher lines (power series and sx) So rockford is in no way overpriced

this is what i way talking about, RF is overpriced but way ****in' underrated. kicker is also underrated, but its up to you on price. but if i had the money i would go with RF.

RF amps seem to be built with less quality than Kicker Amps. Even the Power series, to much plastic. All things being equal, Kicker amps just feel way more solid.

The older Fosgate lines get me horny... like the Power series 1500bd.... If you're going to look @ Fosgate, atleast look @ the Power series.

You're smoking crack and you should stop. Rockford Fosgate hasn't made a good product in 10 years with the exception of an amp here and there and the HX2 subwoofer. The new Punch and Power series are crap subs and the amps are overrated and overpriced. I have owned it, heard it, installed it, you name it. I'm not a Kicker fan by any means. In fact I have a deep dislike for Kicker with the exception of amps but the only thing that Kicker makes that is not better than everything that RF makes is the Comp and Comp VR. Rockford Fosgate sucks.

Please pick up a new rockford amp and point out where it has "too much Plastic". It has the barrier strips and thats it, and many many amps have plastic barrier strips. Im not defending RF becuase I am not really that big of fan either, but the new stuff I have installed has been real solid and delivered more than enough power for what you pay for them. Someone made a point of saying that their quality has went down because of mass production and I totally agree, but it also needs to be pointed out that Kicker has suffered the same fate as well.

I absoloutly like the Solo line. All the way down to the L5. The L7s offer terrific output with relatively reasonable power requirements. I like the Solo X because of the output but can't really afford the amps ya know. The thing stopping me from recommending them is that the corners of the square surround wear and become thin due to the stress there. Kicker has ribbed the corners but it still seems to wear. Perhaps a slight desing modification needs to be made to correct this.
