Rockford, Alpines, or Memphis?

I am about to buy my first sub system. I have approx. 1000$, but the catch is, it has to be professionally installed (parents). I went to three different places and got three different types of subs options, and was wondering what the "best" choice is. please help!!!

Option 1) 2 x Memphis audio 12" 4ohm 250rms/500max ported enclosure & 600watt Memphis amp

Option 2) 2 x Alpine 15" type S 2ohm 500rms/1000max ported enclosure & 1000watt alpine amp

Option 3) 2 x Rockford Fosgate 12" P3s 2ohm 400rms/800max ported enclosed & 500 watt Rockford Fosgate amp (i think it might be a more powerful amp i don't remember)

which is the best option?

I'm sure there's a few people from the Grand Rapids area that would be willing to help you out on installing some quality equipment.

well due to that fact that i have to get it from an actual store, my options are limited. not to mention im on a budget. plus, theres 3-4 main stores in town. im not looking to be mr big shot... just to have subs that sound good. so of the three options, which would you choose?

if i had to pick out of those three id go with an alpine type r... just up your budget a little. they are worth it. but im also for buying online from ssa american bass obsidian audio etc etc

I imagine its an alpine dealer, can you do 2 Type r 12s or at least 1 type r 15? On the alpine 1k?

and then a million amps that are great amps better than whats listed

Honestly that Onyx isnt much better then the Alpine 1k, those Onyx are dissapointing after the DSC line. And while the skars are better then whats listed, they wouldnt "blow away" type rs if he can get them

Of those three, definitely the RFs. A Punch 500 is about an 800-900w RMS amp, good clean power. The RFs are quite musical as well, something I would assume you are looking for in a first system.

I'm pro Alpine and RF. if you go the RF route, I would try to get a bigger amp. If you go Alpine, I would either go 2 12's or 1 15.

I'd go for one 15" Type R if you really had to go with that stuff. If they're not going to bother building you a proper custom ported enclosure though, then just go sealed. Those "store-bought" ported enclosures are just about the worst thing you can do for your system.
