Robot wars was a cool show. Another one that would not fly today was Celebrity Deathmatch. You may be too young to recall.

That's how the original one was too. Back then they even inflated the importance of the 'teams' that built the bots. It was 90% gay and 10% carnage.

Yeah, I wish there was more actual machines tearing eachother apart. Would be better.

On kroq they interviewd the lady who is the main announcer or something on the new show and its to give the geeks a sense of athleticism. They are athletes and this is a "sport". Hence the emphasis on "teams"
