Rlp box ?

if i have 2 boxes for my type Rs that are about 2 cubes a piece ported (at 30hz and 26sq inches of port), would that be way to big for an RLP or do i just need to make new boxes? i mean i know they suggest 1.5 cubes ported for an RLP but with the larger box volume woudl i lose output?

you should gain output. i assume this is for a 12? maybe want a little more port area, but should be all right. how much power you got? box should be fine for the sub. i ran mine at around 1.8 cubes ported

no dispacment is not taken in account... i just have these boxes that i really like and had hopd they would be fine to use with the Rlp 12's and i have a 1000watts of power (witch will be fixed soon after i get these RLps) and all i know is that before we built it the formula said 2.2 cubes box, but i dont know how much the sub displaces so i say (about) 2.2 cubes how much port area would you suggest? anyone?

I thought 2.0ft^3 (vented) was the optimal enclosure for the Rp-l's? That's what I'm building my box to.

ooo i guess i didnt read far enough apparently they work fine in a 2.0cf box i just read the part where it was talking about box and size economy for small box applications.... but still what do people think of these babies ive never heard them myself but i hear great things.

I'm planning on getting two Rl-p's as well. It was a toss up between a 15" SI mag or two Rl-p 12's. Fot the price, I'm going with the Rl-ps.

yeah, understandable. it's kind of hard buying a sub based on people's opinions without actually hearing a product in person. i was sold when i heard this one guy's RLp 12 at a gas station.
