rli8 vs 10?

just curious why does everyone go nutz about the 8 but not the 10?

look at the facts:

1. $175 vs $165 = $10 difference, a whole 3 whopper meals, not even...

2. maybe .5 cube difference on average, not that big of a room difference...

so WHY?

is it JUST because of the "coolness" factor of having a 8 instead of a 10 that it performs just slightly below the 10?

or is the 8 actually made quite differently and better and they just have the same name?

This is an interesting questions, I don't have much history with the SS subs, have heard them a few times. But this is a very interesting question, I have been told by a few guys that RL-p15" do great for home audio subs but they felt the RL-p 12" wasn't good for doing home audio. When I asked why I got no responce, but that could be from just a cone area stand point.... Who knows, some people believe some crazy audio stuff...

The 8s are for tight space or just because:D. If I had the money I would do 3 of them:naughty: but thats me.

well, its just that a while ago, some people were saying that the rli 10 is not worth it and its like soft ****...sound quality is right up there but the output was very lacking...

everyone was recommending the rlp's or something else other than the rli10...this is before the rli8 came out....so now since the rli8 came out, everyone is raving about them...

so is the rli10 NOT as good compared to the rli8 or is it only a very super slight better that the 8 is just that much cooler?????

The only reason the RL-i8 is hyped so much, is the fact it is an 8". It's one of the greater 8's available on the market at an amazing price.

There are plenty of SQ oriented 10's out there, so the RL-i10 gets the shaft.

But try and find five 8" drivers that can beat the RL-i8 in price and performance.

got it...just wanted to double check that...

why five? wouldn't all one need is one?

anyways, i'd be very interested to know how the assassin 8 would compare...im pretty show its not gonna output as much but it'd b interesting how little or big it actually lacks behind...

someone redue another great 8 competition //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
