I do however agree that with the space you have 2 12" RL-p will be better suited for more output and similar SQ.

i currently have the new version and also owned the old version, right after they stoped with the claw basket and before they dropped the "magnum" name

The old magnum, the original version was made by TC sounds. It's essentially a TC9... the Rl-p is essentially a TC9 as well.

The new mags are custom tooled motors, nothing like any other sub I've seen... I've heard 'rumors' that they are modified SX motors... but any idiot that has seen both of them side by side knows that's not true.

Food for thought.

The new mag was enough of an improvement over the old TC9 design to justify producing it.

Yup, the new SI D2 has nothing to do with TC sounds.

It is, as stated, a completely custom tooled motor.

see i didn't notice much of an improvement over the previous mag to justify paying extra for the new mag. i'm prolly gonna experiment with new box designs and see what i come up with.

not to mention changing from 2 slugs to 3 slugs with a heigh difference seems to not change the parameters a bit
