RL-p needs a partner

With my 12" RL-p ordered, its time to look to amps. (I admit I have been dreading this)

I have done alot of forum searching and know that the eD nine.1 is a very sexy and good choice to give it the power it wants... im looking to give mine around 750-900watts, in a sealed enclosure. Ive heard they can handle 1200 fine so im not really worried, anything in that neighbour hood. Its a d2 so I have to go with 1ohm correct?

The eD nine.1 does look nice, and I have heard that it is priced very well. What I was wondering is if there are any other amps that I can use to get the job done that may be even cheaper, and a location (site) I can use to get it from. Im thinking maybe something from hifonics (I hear some good and bad things).

Anyways im up for any suggestions on certain models from any brand. really the highest price I would want to go would be the nine.1 for 350. You can go with 1ohm, or 4ohm.

4ohm mainly to give you the option of bridging a 2-channel amp (which is what I'm doing).

what are the advantages of that? and what amp are you using? Are they cheaper and is 4ohm more stable? sorry, Amps are something I am just starting to learn.

Not much of a difference....just gives you more options. Mono amps will generally be more efficienct, but I'm running ~950w off of "inefficient amps" on my stock electrical system and I have absolutely zero headlight dimming. I'm using a Soundstream Rubicon 702.

ok, nice, ya I am not picky. This is my first system so I will be happy with whatever (nothing to compare too), Where did you get your soundstream from?
