hmmm...it would be nice if adire would resolve a certain warranty issue.
Here is a copy of an email sent to you from a gentleman who has waited 8 months for his subwoofer.
"Hello,
As you probably know my name is Devin Looney. Myself and Joseph Fitzpatrick have been contacting you regarding repair work done to a Brahma 15. I am growing ever impatient with this whole situation and would like to explain and hopefully get this resolved immediately!
Back around last August of 2004 Joseph sent in a brahma 15 to be repaired. A recone was ordered and paid for. A couple of months passed and Joseph recieved the sub in mid-late October from you guys with the job supposedly completed. Upon receiving the subwoofer Joseph and I agreed that I would purchase the woofer from him. After taking it out of the package, the subwoofer would not play. A meter was connected to the voice coil and no resistance was shown.
Adire was called and you guys claimed that every sub was tested before shipment and that if sent in you would take a look at it. Well it was mailed out in mid November and you received it about a week later. After being looked at, it was determined that the problem with the sub was Adires mishap.
Ok that is reasonable. Everyone makes mistakes and we can understand that. The problem now lies in the fact that Adire did not take care of the repair immediately. Instead, you put it off for over a month until you ran out of parts. If it had been sent it for repairs originally in November I can see the wait. However, it was sent it for WARRANTY work in November. This means that it is YOUR error and it should be fixed immediately. Why should we have to pay the consequences for your mistake?
It is now April and the sub is still not repaired. The sub has now been in for repair a total of 8 months and this is completely unacceptable. I want this situation taken care of immediately. I have called and emailed several times and nothing seems to get done.
I either want the sub repaired or I want some equipment from Adire that totals the cost of a new brahma to compensate. I think this is more than reasonable considering how long I have waited and how patient I have been. I posted my negative experience with Adire on Caraudio.com and I'm hoping we can get this taken care of so I can update the negative experience to conclude with a positive one. I have gotten advice to contact the Better Business Bureau, but I do not wish to do so. I would like to resolve this matter without making a mess, but I will take action if need be.
Hopefully you have some ideas and can take action immediately to get this resolved.
Regards,
Devin Looney"
