My friend recently bought a 2005 Ford F-150 crewcab and he was lookin to put a nice little system in it. He asked me what he should get and i told him to take the rl-i 8 out for a test drive. So he wants to get the sub but we can't seem to find a box that will fit. I have looked on crutchfield and ebay for truck boxes but i cant find any for 8's or that have a mounting depth of 6 inches. So if anyone could give me suggestion or plans for a box that we could build would be appriacted.

Maybe call mtx about an 8" "thunderform" or whatever it is.

Q-logic and JL have custom fit enclosures as well...

To get alot of airspace in that truck you probably need fiberglass, but if you don't need much just measure behind the seat and make a wood box. You can't really get a recommendation on a box build without the specific sub you are going to use. Do you know if the rl-i8 will fit?

Who's that in your av?

I know of a person with two 12" Mags under the seat of his Screw-so you shouldnt have a problem with an RLi. You will need a seat lift if you are going with down firing though.

You might be able to pull off front firing if you dont want to lift the seat.

Brypink on here has a Supercrew with 2 mags sealed downfiring. He has to do the seat lift to accommodate the mounting depth. I hear it was a tight squeeze.

Maybe try pm'ing him.
