Ripped Eclipse Subwoofer Cone Fixable?

This sub is a single vc... perhaps he is referring to the bolt that holds the assembly together? The sub is supposed to be "field serviceable" but as far as I know, nobody has the parts. Eclipse have had a history of destroying themselves as their Xmax is more than their suspension.

Well let me further explain why this and that is, I first bought the single voice coil sub and with that I made a box and was all good with it, but it wasn't enough thump. So a short while after I got a deal on the dual voice coil sub and bought it and used the same box and thats why I still have that box. And I mean bolted down as in I only bolted the sub down to the box with one bolt and for monthes I used no bolts as I thought that the sub was heavy enough not to move around. I thought that I did nothing wrong as to me it seems as if it tore itself apart. Luckily I still had the single voice coil sub still in storage to replace it (been in there for 2 years). With it being aluminum, I think it will keep tearing if I tryed to silicone the whole thing up.

So go on ahead and throw it in the trash?
No, a TC based motor is still valuable. Call someone like Fi for a recone, or sell the motor on here for some cash.
Did you ever wonder why the subwoofer had mounting holes? And why it had more than one hole? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The number of voice coils your sub has does not affect the enclosure it should be mounted in. At all.

One last question (again), Since it's just the cone that's damaged on the DVC model and I have a good SVC model is there a good chance of me switching the cones out? Or is it more work than I think?
