I downloaded this motorola mobile phone tools program, it says it can do ringtones and stuff, but I don't know how to use the win rar thing I have... would this program work well?

did you figure out how to use win.rar? It is pretty simple. Go ahead and D/L your file. When you click on it win.rar will open up, at the top left corner click on "EXTRACT TO" and open it in a folder you have already created for said program.

I dont know what the program is you are trying to use.... go ahead and try it and let us know how it works.

I am going to have to go to this other web site and see what it can do... got my curiosity up now.

kewl site... kind of stripped down version of Fun4Mobile. Will have to try it when I get home.

I got 1 good ringtone off that site, but the rest say "error" or something whenever i try to download it off the phone....Any similar problems for anybody else?

I just tried extracting the mobile phone tools program to a folder on my desktop, but whenever i try to open the folder it goes to the picture viewer type thing... Am I doing it right?

havent signed up yet.. what are the benefits of this one?... fun4mobile will do the same thing and you dont have to log in. Just curious for more info before I get home and play with it.

89Vette... dont d/l to your desktop...I would recomend a folder in your MyDocuments, if you are using an ACTIVE DESKTOP, win.rar may see a conflict. See if that helps. I will be on-line at home later and will walk through it with you. Do you use any of the messenger services (aim, yahoo, msn?)

Hey, sorry I haven't posted back all day. I figured out how to install the MPT's program, it works great! I can put any song or anything on my phone...If you find the right cord to connect the phone through the usb port I would definately encourage it. or if you have bluetooth on your comp.

Here I go bringing this back, but, here's my problem. When I go to dl it it says file too large. I have it set at 64kbps, it's 25sec. long and it still won't let me. Any body got some info that could help? My provider is cingular is that makes any difference

I assume you are using the FunForMobile website... Make sure the quote from the web site is true....

For Cingular, you need either MMS ( Picture Messaging) service enabled or Wireless Intenet services enabled. When you upload files, a check box is provided for you to specify if you have Wireless Internet service or not. If the checkbox "Internet available on this phone" is checked, you will have to download the upload via internet. If the checkbox is unchecked, you will receive your upload within the MMS message. Please check or uncheck the checkbox according to your service plan with Cingular, since Cingular may charge you differently.For ATT Wireless, (since Cingular now owns them) you need Wireless Internet Services enabled.

Have you checked the memory on your phone? What Kind of phone (make and model please) are you using. How many ringtones do you have on your telephone? What about how many pictures (mms), text messages (sms) you have stored? What Version of Audacity are you using... did you look here for other tools?: http://www.funformobile.com/pages/help/helpHow.php

hey i have a razr through cingular and i also have the motorola bluetooth dongle thing whatever they call it, but when i make ringtones i just open up the song or whatever im going to use with nero and cut the parts i want, then save in my documents, minimize nero and go to that file in my documents, right click it and hit send to bluetooth device, it puts up a screen with the info on it( the track name, length, size, bitrate) and i hit ok, it connects to my phone, and then i hit ok on my phone to accept the message and it downloads in seconds and then i hit store on my phone and its done, this is all with the bluetooth thing plugged in and setup, i usually change my ringtones and pics every few days as it only takes me a few minutes,

one thing id like to do is load games on my razr but no one can seem to tell me how to do that, so if anyone can help id greatly appreciate it, TIA . .

I found the USB BluTooth adaptors for p/c's at my local electronics store-- I believe the price was in the $30 range. (for those wanting or needing it for this purpose. ) BluTooth is a great way to synch files, etc. with your p/c.

I know that the fun for mobile website also has a games downloader..when you go to the page, click on the upload tab, on the left hand side of that page are options for difft stuff you can Upload to your handheld. Mobile phone Devices are very diverse so make sure you are uploading the proper file format.
