Hey I was wondering if anybody knew how to send ringtones from my computer to my Razr. Do I need to download a program? And how do I know if my computer has bluetooth?

i might have to buy one of those discs on ebays if the really have all the screensavers and games like they say they do.

What kind of programs? What do I search for? My friend knows how to do it for free and his didn't come with a program....but it is prob more difficult

buddy of mine was able to do it with bluetooth, not sure how, he explained it to me but i didnt really care so i wasnt listening

if it's verizon, there's a good chance you need to crack your phone before you'll be able to do anything from your comp.

there's programs and cables online for cheap, tho

and the cracking programs are free, but they don't do anything automatically, and if you F up, your phone is done.

mobile phone tools can be found pretty easily :cough:bit torrent:cough

then all you need is a usb cable and the usb driver for the razr. many digital cameras use a cable that will connect right up to your phone

No matter what you need either bluetooth or the usb cable. No other way to do it. with out paying a company that is

Bluetooth... VERY EASY if it isnt protected content... Razr synch's up with another phone quite easily

The Cable option...sure, but you have to buy the software from Motorola...

You dont need to 'crack' anything.... unless your talking about one of the (to be mentioned below) Verizon Phones.

you dont need to pay anyone....the process can ALL be done with freeware!!!!!

The boys are tellin ya lies, lies... there all lies I tell ya.... I actually have the answer to this one... ( I worked for a Cellular company--to remain namelss here for 2 years...boy, did I learn a LOT!)

Keep in mind, Verizon service requires you to have a VCast capable phone to do the following: It will be sent as an MMS (Multi Media Message) And most of the older Nokia's??? forget about it. You shouldnt have probs with the RAZR tho...

Your clip CANNOT be longer than 30 seconds (check with your provider 4 the ring time on your service)

It must be recorded at the lowest bit-rate possible.--I convert mine at 56Kbps.. I use AUDACITY with the LAME software package. (yes..thats its name) The older version of Audacity actually works better...go to the preferences menu and change the bitrate.

cut up the part of the song you want and export/save as a MP3 to a folder on your p/c.

Once you have done that go to http://www.funformobile.com/pages/ringtone/uploadRingtone.php

choose your carrier, enter your phn number, select the file and give it a name.

I have had the most difficulty doing this with MOST VERIZON phones...they have figured this out and are creating software to keep you from sending tones to your phone. My father has one of their POS Motorola phones (not the Razr) and all I can send him are midi's. If he wants MP3 it has to be downloaded.... good luck.

That would be cool man....you kinda lost me. haha... But are you saying to do all that from bluetooth from the computer?
