Right speakers louder than left?? More questions...

I'm sure the amp is better than HU power. I'm also guessing your issues are installation problems. Check all connections, cables, wires, etc. What did you use for wires? New or used? Adapters? Double check speaker wiring, phase, wiggle RCA connections. Check power wiring and gains settings.
Have someone who knows systems look at your rig and diagnose it.

I know more about this stuff than anyone I personally know. Everything plays fine but it's just when the volume is set to 0...that's when you can hear the hissing...you can't hear it when the music is playing.

I've checked the ground...I've checked loose connections.
