Right rear channel - problem

I have a Pioneer DEH-P6900UB in my Mustang [it has/had the premium sound system with the 'upgraded' speakers and an amp underneath the head-unit]

At any rate, I had in CDT EF-61FG's in the door panels [run by a JBL GTO75.4II amp]. I managed to blow the speakers since my dog ate the tweeters [... yeah] so the impodence wasn't right. I'm going to order a new pair soon but i noticed that one of my stock rear speakers wasn't working. The right rear, as the title says. I unplugged the left and I heard sound coming from it [but very low] I had to turn it all the way up for it to be at a normal sound level. I pulled out the HU and I checked and made sure the wires were still connected VIA a heatshrunk connecter [Not really sure what they are. Basically a piece of a metal tube surrounded by heat-shrink.] and made sure that they looked like the wire was secure and inside the metal tube... and it was.

I'm not sure what it can be. The left rear channel is still pumping strong, btu the right rear one is weak.

Any ideas?

Please don't say it's my HU.

[bTW- I replaced the right speaker with another speaker I had, a stock one from the door and it was the same way. I even took out the left speaker and plugged it into the right channel and still the same thing]
