Ok, so i was at my girlfriends house last night, i looked at the window and saw some kids standing about 15 feet from my car but thought nothing of it. I walk up to my car to go home and see that the passengeer side front fender got kicked in. I filed a police report so that i can have insurance pay for it. Also my windsheild cracked about a month ago and said it was the kids also. The question is, do you think when they replace the fender, that they will need to give the whole car a new painjob. cause tht what im wishing for out of this whole thing.

no it's called blending.

any good collision shop has a painter that's capable of doing it. unless you bring it to some hack shop.

the first body shop i worked at, the painter training me called it the '7-11 test' which is basically if you work at a good shop like the one i did, after you fix the car you should be able to go to 7-11 and stand outside your car and ask people "can you tell me where i repainted this car" and if they say no, you did a good job.

after an accident you should never hear anyone say "oh wow, you did a good job repainting that fender" because if they can tell, you didn't do a good enough job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

long story short, no, they will just repaint the surrounding area and blend it into the car.

Does depend on how old the vehicle is, too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeaaa its a 95 accord and the paint is looking very shitty, so unless you have paint that have a vintage look to it, then your going to be able to tell. ill bein in 5 min with pics.

I recently had the entire side of the van ('94) repainted, and you can tell a difference. Not big enough to really care about (after all, it is 12 years old), but it's a whole lot better than a three foot dent in the panel //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hmmm my trunk has some horrible fire damage, maybe I should kick it in and say kids did it and get it repainted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

haha yea thats not a bad idea, but if u get caught then issurance fraud wont look to good on your record. But i doubt they'll catch you

thse kids were probably around my age which is 16. Me and a bunch of my friends came by my gf's house to see what i was up too later that night, and we saw these kids walkin by with paintball guns and juss started talkin shit to em, no reason. But neways, it proably wasnt the smartes thing to go back inside to leave my car unattended cause when i came out to leave i saw the dent
