ridiculous cop

i got pulled over yesterday too for expired inspection sticker, which has been expired for over 3 months. first cop to do so, i was in the downtown area. perhaps because i was smoking a cigar? and wearing a backwards hat? quotas? luckily no ticket since i played dumb about it like 'which sticker is it ? how much does that usually run? etc. etc. '

though..

Dude , I got pulled over and given a noise violation couple years back . Didn't even have a head unit in the car , but the cop wasn't hearing it . Gave me the ticket, and so much bullchit about how he hates boom cars . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

well see i think the problem there was your failure to realize cops do whatever they want. you cant say anything or do anything that will help. you just have to sit back and hope they are gonna be nice. do you think they would believe you over a cop. and how hard do you think it is for him to loose that tape. cops can be dicks. but you cant really do nothin about it.
says the white kid with a grill.

probably 98% of the cops I've dealt with have been nice and done their job with dignity and pride.. only 2% have been dicks for no reason.

Now compare that with other professions like store clerks, front desk people, teachers, doctors, or secrataries..a lot higher than 2% jerk-off rate.

You think that is bad? Try being slammed to the pavement, cuffed, and put in the back of a squad car for speeding and cutting across a median... 30mph or not that is unessicary. He then told me it was because I was in a Scion and only drug runners drive thoes.

If I had to speculate I'd say 70% of policement are either Athority Freaks, Bullys who want to have bullying as a job or the kid who always got bullied and holds a grudge and now made his job a way to get back at the world.

anyone else not like wyotech? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif:)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

j/k

as an ex OTR driver, I can certainly tell you there are a few states in this great country where you don't want to mess with the law enforcement...obviously you discovered Texas is one of them...you also don't want to get on an officers bad side in Wyoming...they have a similiar attitude...can be VERY BIASED! I also noted that even tho the DOT officer in Iowa was nice to my face... they can be pretty stubborn a-holes and will make a driver wait around forever while they play their "games."

Show some respect and don't be a ***** and complain. I never complain when I get pulled over, and I don't have problems with the officers.

I've been pulled over by locals, state troopers, and sheriffs... so i must do something right.. Yes sir, no sir.

I got pulled over by a state trooper for my tint. I didn't be a smart *** about it and he let me go. Michigan state troopers are known for giving tint tickets.

Move to Denver, CO. --one of THE WORST places I have ever drove! Because....everyone drives like they are on crack and jacked out of their minds..including the cops!! LOL!! crazy people, NO one pays attention to speedlimits or other road signs! And NO ONE EVER gets pulled over... you will see a cop car sitting on the side of the road, but that is ALL they are doing! LOL!

Sorry to hear about the a-hole you had to put up with.. I would say fight it in court BUT, in places like that the judge and the officers are usually good buddies! Grit your teeth, graduate, and get the hell outta there!

~good luck!

Edit: Just e-mailed my uncle, whom was an Idaho and Alaska State Highway Officer for 30+ years...the best advice he offers ...(also mentioned earlier) is to use the "sir" (or Ma'am) in reference to an officer... but MOST important is to make them feel safe... when you are pulled over turn your vehicle off, leave your running/parking lights on but turn off the headlights, roll down your window (windows if you have them tinted) turn ON the interior light if its at night, then--after ALL that, hurry and get your drivers lic, proof of insurance, registration and put them on the dash of your car--- yes, the officer will see you moving around so, again to ensure his safety, put your hands on the steering wheel...it is amazing what I have gotten away with just showing a little respect. They have a VERY dangerous job and showing them you care (or make it look like you do) will go Miles and Miles with them.

It happened to me when I drove an 88 cutlass with mirror tint. It was funny because they arrested me before asking anything. I pull over, they open the door and arrest me. Next, they search the car and find nothing. Then they let me go. I had to remove the rear seats a couple times on the side of the road...After a while I quit bolting them down.

I always thought it was odd that they never asked for ID, registration, insurance, etc. Only to search the car.

What was funny is the Scion is my dads business vehicle so he found a bunch of computer stuff, 2 condoms, and a Dr. Pepper.

I wanted to tell him I was in international Horny Computer theif but I held my tounge.

After he found out why I was doing that (Thinking with the wrong head) and that I played soccer he only wrote me a 15mph ticket and A failure to obey traffic sign tickets. He could have held me for doing 30+ over, got me for driving past curfew, and failure to obey a traffic sign + the damage fine they can stick you with for cutting the median but he got nicer. He was also impressed that I was able to cut the median at night in a scion as anyone who has driven I-10 between I-75 and Jacksonville knows that the median is wide, deep, and muddy.
