ridiculous cop

Move to Denver, CO. --one of THE WORST places I have ever drove! Because....everyone drives like they are on crack and jacked out of their minds..including the cops!! LOL!! crazy people, NO one pays attention to speedlimits or other road signs! And NO ONE EVER gets pulled over... you will see a cop car sitting on the side of the road, but that is ALL they are doing! LOL!

Sorry to hear about the a-hole you had to put up with.. I would say fight it in court BUT, in places like that the judge and the officers are usually good buddies! Grit your teeth, graduate, and get the hell outta there!

~good luck!

Edit: Just e-mailed my uncle, whom was an Idaho and Alaska State Highway Officer for 30+ years...the best advice he offers ...(also mentioned earlier) is to use the "sir" (or Ma'am) in reference to an officer... but MOST important is to make them feel safe... when you are pulled over turn your vehicle off, leave your running/parking lights on but turn off the headlights, roll down your window (windows if you have them tinted) turn ON the interior light if its at night, then--after ALL that, hurry and get your drivers lic, proof of insurance, registration and put them on the dash of your car--- yes, the officer will see you moving around so, again to ensure his safety, put your hands on the steering wheel...it is amazing what I have gotten away with just showing a little respect. They have a VERY dangerous job and showing them you care (or make it look like you do) will go Miles and Miles with them.

You think that is bad? Try being slammed to the pavement, cuffed, and put in the back of a squad car for speeding and cutting across a median... 30mph or not that is unessicary. He then told me it was because I was in a Scion and only drug runners drive thoes.
If I had to speculate I'd say 70% of policement are either Athority Freaks, Bullys who want to have bullying as a job or the kid who always got bullied and holds a grudge and now made his job a way to get back at the world.
It happened to me when I drove an 88 cutlass with mirror tint. It was funny because they arrested me before asking anything. I pull over, they open the door and arrest me. Next, they search the car and find nothing. Then they let me go. I had to remove the rear seats a couple times on the side of the road...After a while I quit bolting them down.

I always thought it was odd that they never asked for ID, registration, insurance, etc. Only to search the car.

What was funny is the Scion is my dads business vehicle so he found a bunch of computer stuff, 2 condoms, and a Dr. Pepper.

I wanted to tell him I was in international Horny Computer theif but I held my tounge.

After he found out why I was doing that (Thinking with the wrong head) and that I played soccer he only wrote me a 15mph ticket and A failure to obey traffic sign tickets. He could have held me for doing 30+ over, got me for driving past curfew, and failure to obey a traffic sign + the damage fine they can stick you with for cutting the median but he got nicer. He was also impressed that I was able to cut the median at night in a scion as anyone who has driven I-10 between I-75 and Jacksonville knows that the median is wide, deep, and muddy.

Like the time me and my buddy left work, and blew past the State Police barracks doin 90 in 3rd racing each other. A cop must have been walking to his car when we blew past. My buddy pulled into a gas station, and I had already slowed down when I saw headlights about a mile back. Cop pulled me over. I start to meow.

"I'm not gona give you a speeding ticket, I'm going to give you a ticket for participating in a speed contest on the highway" "You mean to tell me you were'nt racing?" "I saw you guys going at it, hell, you were winning!" (This is funny, because I was driving my 99hp 92' Civic aganst my buddies 6cyl Mazda, of course he can't drive worth a ****.). So the cop proceeds to write me up a $250 ticket with an automatic 4pts on my license (already had 4). I swear up and down that I was just tired, trying to get home from work, but the cop was'nt buying it. Ended up paying $500 for a lawyer, and got my ticket dropped to a 20mph over, which was still a $200+ ticket. Shitty thing was the guy I was racing never even got questioned about it. The cop didnt get his name. He ended up getting a DUI that same night strangely enough.

Yes...VERY dumb to blow past the barracks like that. I pass it every day, and in 10 years I have NEVER seen a cop go in or out other than shift change. Guess I got too comfortable.

Long story short, the cop was decently well behaved, but he got frustrated with me and told me to sign the **** ticket after listening to me whine for about 20 minutes. Cops in my area are generally dicks though. Cocky, overbearing attitudes. They feel the need to point out all your faults, and critisize you like they are your parents. It's always best however to just nod your head and answer in short responses, always using "Yes ir, no sir"

BTW....a spell checker would be a nice addition to these forums.
